I’m a self-taught photographer whose journey started with books and magazines, but ultimately boiled down to hands-on experimentation—just me and the camera. My first camera was a Pentax K1000, a fully manual model that taught me the fundamentals of both technical precision and creative expression. As the digital era dawned, I transitioned to digital photography, beginning with a Canon Elph I bought in 2001. Later, drones emerged as an invaluable addition, and I’ve since integrated them into my work.Today, I shoot primarily with a Sony A7 IV mirrorless camera and an iPhone 13 Pro, complemented by two drones: a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 Advanced and a DJI Mini 3 Pro.I see strong parallels between photographers and painters—we both craft visual stories. The key difference lies in our tools: painters wield brushes, while photographers paint with light through a lens.“Simple is best.”Email: danny.baker0@gmail.com
